The Retiree Benefits Guide v1.0.pdf (65 pp.) was published today, September 2, 2016. This guide covers the administrative process for organizations that offer benefits to their retired employees. To set up an individual employee for Retiree Benefits, the process requires action by multiple disciplines. In order to take an employee through the entire process, you and/or your colleagues will need to be able to add rows to Job Data, DBT, Position, Enroll in Benefits, Additional Pay and General Deduction screens. Please see pp.2-4 of the guide for a cheat sheet that lists Parts A-O and the navigations for each task.
This outline is just one example of how the workflow may be processed within your organization.
Would you like assistance with this process? The CRC will be hosting a Retiree Benefits Open Lab on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the SDCOE main campus. The first hour we will review the process and the remainder of the session will be for you to convert your employees into retirees with benefits. Please bring a copy of the guide with you.
