For 9 Preliminary districts only

Beginning June 30, 2014, the staff at the nine Preliminary districts will be able to use the new PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service (ESS) website to view their paycheck generated out of PeopleSoft HCM. The site is live now, as of June 13—however, there is no paycheck data. The SDCOE CRC has set up all of your staff as PeopleSoft users so they can log in. The ESS website will be available from any location, not just work. Once logged into the PeopleSoft paystubs website, employees will be presented with the option to view PeopleSoft produced paystubs or “old” paystubs from payrolls run prior to June month-end.

This is what the ESS site looks like. An email was sent to your district’s CBO on May 28, 2014, indicating that your district should post the provided ESS website URL on your intranet (or wherever your staff currently go to view their paycheck).

The CRC created PeopleSoft ESS - Viewing Your Paycheck v1.1.pdf (4 pp.) which you can provide to your users for instructions on logging in and viewing paychecks in PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service. Here are some highlights:
  • p.1: For all new users that were set up (that is, not trained by the CRC in January/February 2014), the User ID = Employee ID without hyphens, and Password = The First 4 of YOUR LAST NAME IN CAPS + Last 4 of SSN.
  • p.2: It is highly recommended that users select a security question and verify their email address. It will save time in the future in the case that a user forgets their password.
  • p.3: Once you login to the PeopleSoft ESS, you will be able to click View Paychecks from the Home page. The View Paycheck page will display and you will see a list of paychecks in PeopleSoft. To view the paycheck, click the check date in the first column (like 04/30/2014). NOTE: This will not be available until June 30, 2014.
