From MITI – Reminder to all Payroll and HR staff: If you hire an employee in September with a date other than September 1, the system will prorate the earnings for the month.
Example: If an employee’s first day is 9/15/2016, the system will prorate their monthly pay. You may need to make an adjustment on the payline to bring the pay to the desired amount.
Please run the M_PY_AUDIT_JOB_PAYLINE - Compare JOB Sal vs Payline query to audit compensation rates. This query is helpful for verifying the compensation rate being paid on the payline is equivalent to the compensation rate in Job Data. It includes the following fields: ID, Empl Record, Co, Group, Comp Freq, Comp Rate, Reg Salary, Off Cycle, and Pay. If the pay does not match, this may be due to a hire date other than the 1st of the month.
