Job Data Sample Setups – New guide, April 2018 demo, and May 2018 workshops

posted Apr 10, 2018, 4:50 PM by Peyri Herrera

This announcement is about a new guide, the April 2018 Third Thursday Demo, and two new workshops in May 2018, all around the topic of “Job Data Sample Setups.”

NEW GUIDE (APRIL 19, 2018)

The CRC is currently working on a new guide called Job Data Sample Setups that we will publish on April 19, 2018. The purpose of this guide is to provide you specific checklists, color-coded screenshots, and field information for the following types of employees:
  • Certificated – Salaried
  • Certificated Daily – Substitute Teacher
  • Certificated – Hourly
  • Classified – Salaried
  • Classified – Hourly
  • Exception Hourly
  • Retiree (Rehire)
Here is a page from the guide for the Job Data Payroll tab for a Certificated – Salaried setup. Any field with a box around it indicates it requires data entry. Notice the color-coded labels (AM, TL, PAY, HYP, RET) – these indicate how the particular field is tied to other areas of HCM. The bottom of the page includes information about each field, and an at-a-glance area to see modules affected.

THIRD THURSDAY DEMO (APRIL 19, 2018 FROM 10:00-11:00 AM)

To help you with learning and using this guide, the CRC would like to invite you to the April 2018 Third Thursday Demo on Thursday, April 19, 2018. We will do a walk-thru of the guide and explain how to:
  • Use the new checklists and screenshots to confirm employees are set up correctly
  • Perform troubleshooting before you submit a HEAT ticket
  • Cross-train and instruct others with it – we are designing the guide so Classified sections can be separated from Certificated
Registration information is at If you cannot attend the Third Thursday Demo, the session will be recorded and available for playback.

To further assist you with Job Data, the CRC is offering two “Job Data Setup” Workshops in May 2018. Two dates are available (pick one):
