Error message appearing for some when attempting to launch PeopleSoft ESS and Portal

Today, August 16, 2018, some users have reported that they cannot log into PeopleSoft ESS or Portal.

PROBLEM: The “short URLs” for ESS ( from multiple browsers) and Portal ( from Internet Explorer) takes you to a screen that says “Error No Access to: /” or does not redirect to the login screen. The redirects appear to have stopped working.

FIX: Use the “long URLs” for ESS ( and Portal (

This issue has been reported to the technical team. In the meantime we have changed the URLs on the CRC Links page to point to the “long URLs.”
