Please share this information with your employees and encourage those who receive a paper check to move to Direct Deposit.

Starting in May, 2020, a new PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service (ESS) Direct Deposit functionality will be available to all of our district employees.  This new functionality will allow employees to add, update and view their paycheck direct deposit information online in PeopleSoft ESS https://ess.erp.sdcoe.net. Employees will navigate to the ESS Home Page the same as usual, open the Payroll and Compensation folder and simply click on the Direct Deposit Quick Link to input and view their direct deposit information for their paycheck. Mobile and personal devices such as home computers can all be used to navigate to the ESS Home Page.

The availability of ESS Direct Deposit became a priority because of the changes we implemented as a result of COVID-19. We have closed our offices and are working remotely in an effort to keep our employees safe at home. With our offices closed, employees will find adding or updating direct deposit information more difficult. As a reminder, employees must never email direct deposit information due to the sensitivity of the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data. PII data includes direct deposit bank account information or a combination of data like a name and bank account.  Using ESS, will secure this very sensitive PII data and simplify the process for employees to update their direct deposit information. ESS Direct Deposit will support the stay at home order and keep our employees at home by eliminating a trip to the office to print / mail paychecks and the bank to deposit a paycheck.

Training materials will be released soon to assist employees with the use of ESS Direct Deposit.
