Preliminary, Group 1 and Group 2 organizations: Until further notice, if you are working on existing Job Data records, please do not change the benefit record number. If an existing Job Data record has its benefit record number changed as the result of adding rows, there is a risk that the employee’s benefits will disconnect (including the retirement enrollment). Additionally, because of the data conflict this creates, it also creates errors during payroll processing, and there is a significant risk that the employee will not get paid.
Group 3 and Group 4 organizations: If you are part of a Group 3 or Group 4 district or charter school, please continue to ensure that the benefit record number matches your district number, particularly on new employment instances in Job Data.
The only time the benefit record number should be changed from 0 (zero) to the district number is when the employee is brand new to the district and does not have any existing Job Data records.
