“A journal has been entered that requires your attention.”

The purpose of this announcement is to clarify a few things related to the journal approval process. If you are designated as an Approver, you may receive an email message stating, “A journal has been entered that requires your attention.” This email message will also include a navigation link. Sometimes, when you click the link you get a blank screen with no information. This is due to the fact that the journal is no longer on your worklist because it has already been posted. In this instance, you should refer to the From line on the email. If this email was originated from SDCOE it is likely that there is no further action required on your part and is purely for informational purposes only. However, you may contact the originator in order to verify if there is any action required. Additionally, if the journal does not show up when clicking on the email link, you may navigate to the journal entry page, search for existing and look up the journal to see what it is and who performed the action.
